Ingredients

  • Bottom Layer (Mango Layer):
    • 1/2 cup fresh ripe mango, peeled and diced
    • 1 tsp honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • Middle Layer (Yogurt & Soy Milk Layer):
    • 1/2 cup greek yogurt (if creamy yogurt, no milk needed)
    • 1/4 cup soy milk (or plant-based like coconut milk)
    • 1 tsp sweetener (if needed)
    • Ice cubes
  • Top Layer (Matcha Latte):
    • 1 tsp matcha powder
    • 1/4 cup hot water (not boiling, about 80°C/175°F)
    • 1/2 cup soy milk (chilled or with ice cubes)
  • Optional Garnish:
    • Fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mango Layer:
    • Mash the mango in a bowl with a fork or blend it briefly to make a puree.
    • Add honey or agave syrup if desired.
    • Spoon the mango puree into the bottom of a glass and level it out.
  2. Prepare the Yogurt & Soy Milk Layer:
    • In a small bowl, mix yogurt and soy milk until smooth.
    • Add sweetener if needed.
    • Carefully spoon or pour the mixture over the mango layer. Use a spoon to help layer it gently without mixing.
  3. Prepare the Matcha Latte:
    • In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with hot water until it is smooth and frothy.
    • Add chilled soy milk and mix gently.
  4. Assemble the Top Layer:
    • Add some ice cubes on top of the yogurt layer, slowly pour the matcha latte over them to create a distinct layer.
  5. Serve:
    • If desired, garnish with fresh mint leaves.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Impressions

To create aesthetic layers, choose yogurt with as little water as possible and add a little milk to give it fluidity while clearly distinguishing the top and bottom layers and boundaries. If creamy yogurt, no milk needed. Once the yogurt is added, add about four ice cubes and slowly pour in the matcha latte, making it easier to clearly separate the layers.
